| Breaking News | | Sunday, September 26th, 2010: 5-6 Day for Gamel! It seemed that Milwaukee third baseman Mat Gamel could do no wrong as the Brewers kayoed the Astros 14-6 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Houston pitchers couldn't get him out as Gamel seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Brewers were stealing signs." growled one unhappy Houston fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play." exclaimed the jubilant Gamel in the postgame press interview.
M. Gamel flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
This season Gamel is batting .295 with 189 hits and 24 home runs. He has scored 102 times and has 81 runs batted in. | | Sunday, September 26th, 2010: Yovani Gallardo Out for 10-11 Months After the end of today's game between Milwaukee and Houston, Yovani Gallardo skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Brewers had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The starting pitcher will miss at least 10-11 months with a torn bicep muscle.
In the current season in 32 starts, Yovani Gallardo has a record of 13-5 with 206 strikeouts in 218.2 innings and a 2.92 ERA. | | Sunday, September 19th, 2010: | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Yovani Gallardo | torn bicep muscle | 9 months | 30 day(s) left (60-day DL) | | RF Corey Hart | fractured cheekbone | one week | On DL, eligible for return (60-day DL) | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 83-79, .512 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 22.0 GB | | Record at home | 44-37, .543 PCT | | Record on the road | 39-42, .481 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 6-7, .462 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 24-28, .462 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 15-23, .395 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 68-56, .548 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 8-2, .800 PCT | | Record in April | 7-14, .333 PCT | | Record in May | 19-10, .655 PCT | | Record in June | 11-16, .407 PCT | | Record in July | 13-13, .500 PCT | | Record in August | 15-14, .517 PCT | | Record in September | 15-12, .556 PCT | | Record in October | 3-0, 1.000 PCT |
